The Japanese manufacturer Isuzu Motors India Limited (IMIL) has announced the launch of its upcoming MU-X. It will be available in two variants, G and V. The company is expected to introduce it with an automatic transmission option as well with the different range of Isuzu Cars price in India.

This seven-seater SUV will be competing against similar vehicles like the Toyota Fortuner, Mitsubishi Pajero Sport, Ford Endeavour, Chevrolet Trailblazer and other models that are currently sold in the market. The D-Max is powered by a 2.5 liter, 4-cylinder turbo engine that generates 141 BHP and 350 Nm torque and comes mated with a six-speed manual transmission gearbox or five-speed automatic transmission gearbox as an option. With the 5-speed manual transmission, it delivers a mileage of 17.34 km/l while the automatic variant manages to achieve a fuel efficiency of 16.7km/l.

Isuzu D-Max V-Cross:

This SUV will be available in three variants namely, M(O), V(O), and S(O). The base variant of the Isuzu MU-X with an automatic transmission costs Rs. 17.06 lakh while the top-end variant costs Rs. 19.91 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). It is one of the best cars under 20 lakhs in India.

The company claims that the new MU-X delivers best-in-class performance and fuel economy figures. The engine option on offer is a 2.5 liter, 4 cylinder turbo diesel engine which generates 141 BHP and 350 Nm torque, mated to a six-speed automatic transmission gearbox. The SUV when equipped with the said engine returns a mileage of 17km/l and has an ARAI-certified range of 995 km.

Further, Isuzu MU-X is loaded with features like cruise control, auto defogger, and follow me home headlamps. However, critics have pointed out that MU-X should have come equipped with automatic headlamps.
